2023 was full of exciting challenges for Upgaming and, at the same time, marked by significant achievements, both in terms of business development and team growth.
We established multiple new partnerships, each very important and beneficial. New mini games were rolling into our catalog. We have been present at global exhibitions, shortlisted 12 times in various categories of award ceremonies, and won the two most prestigious awards.
Well, that is only a short list of what happened in 2023. So, let’s cut to the chase; in the given article, we will tell you all the important outcomes and results we got, the challenges we took, and the updates we made during the year.
First things first, in March 2023, we had been notified that our products were shortlisted in four categories at SiGMA Eurasia Awards – a global iGaming hub aiming to discover the most creative and innovative products in the iGaming business. Needless to say, it was exciting news and proof that our commitment to innovation has not gone unnoticed. At the ceremony, it was announced that Upgaming won the “Aggregator of the Year” award. And that was the first big step and important news of 2023. We were already off to a great start.
After winning the award, the number of connections across the globe increased. Moreover, new companies emerged who wanted to establish collaboration with us. Consequently, during the year, Upgaming has entered into multiple new strategic partnerships and strengthened the old ones. As a result, we received new games embedded into our award-winning casino aggregation software and the gaming platform. In specific, we forged partnerships with famous game providers such as No Limit City, Hacksaw Gaming, etc. We have also updated and improved our CRM software by collaborating with Fast Track Solutions.
The recognition we gained also cast a spotlight on our sportsbook software, which is one of our flagship products that consistently attracted keen interest from clients. Thus, Upgaming decided to improve the users’ betting experience and make it more dynamic with speed, scalability, and diversity.
So, we’ve made various deals with sports data providers. And one of the most important new collaborations was the strategic partnership with Genius Sports. After integrating their sports data feeds and betting markets our software’s capacity was increased. Therefore, our sportsbook now covers +112 000 live events, +96 000 pre-match events, and + 5 200 betting markets.
Moreover, we have had another significant news coming up in the second half of 2023. At that time, Upgaming’s sportsbook became authorized in the Netherlands, making it available for Dutch operators and players to enjoy betting experience at a faster rate. Concurrently, we also added a new innovative feature to our sportsbook – Bet Builder, which offers unparalleled flexibility by allowing players to construct their unique personalized bets.
However, that’s not all. In October, Upgaming finished the updates of sportsbook risk management tools and integrated the anti-fraud AI into the platform. This move was one of the major and final updates that we have done to our sportsbook in 2023.
From the beginning of the past year, we also noticed much more interest in our mini-games from both old partners and new faces. The major game aggregators became interested and integrated our mini games library into their gaming content. There were huge deals coming, as all previous mini games we’ve launched (Including Dino, Chicken, Teleport, etc.) have been a huge success for us and our users.
So, our operators were asking for more and were interested if we had the launch of new mini games planned. Soon after that, we released new mini games, including names such as Doors, Aquarings, Roulette, etc. They quickly became popular among our operators and quickly gained the attention of players.
Nonetheless, the one that really came out on top was Aero – an innovative crash game released in September. We knew that this mini game would really make an impact on players and operators since they were asking for a new crash game with simple and engaging gameplay. And, get this: just two months after the launch, Aero has become the “Best Crash Game 2023” at SiGMA Europe Awards. This award was a continuation and completion of our successful streak, bringing the year to a close. So, looking back, we can definitely say that 2023 was a remarkable year for Upgaming.
Now, it’s time to turn our gaze forward to 2024. We’re stepping into this year with high hopes and even higher expectations. 2024 has already brought an important call, the first exhibition of the year – we will be showcasing our products at ICE London 2024. Moreover, we’ve got a slew of updates, new releases, and exciting news lined up. We can’t spill all the beans yet, but rest assured, there’s plenty to look forward to.
