Chicken saw the highest amount of bets placed on it in the second quadrimester of 2023 (May to August, 54% increase from the preceding quadrimester), marking its first major milestone. Over the entire year, Chicken enjoyed a 29% increase in bets compared to the previous year.
So, why did Chicken perform so well in the given period? This success can be attributed to the chicken’s appearance at ICE London 2022 and SiGMA Europe at the end of 2022. Dino rose to popularity in 2022, after its first appearance at ICE London 2022 alongside its fellow companion – Chicken. The highest quantity of bets ever recorded on Dino was back in the second quadrimester of 2023 too. And the annual rate of bets in 2023 shot up by 47% compared to the previous year.
So, just like the chicken, this spike is the blowback from SiGMA Europe 2022 held in November. Following this high point, the next few months saw a bit of a rollercoaster ride with plateaus, spikes, and decreases. This is a trend seen across many mini-games and can be attributed to a range of factors, such as technical problems on operator platforms, and glitches. But the general trend is still promising since Dino’s recent stats show that the sum of bets in May 2024 increased by 99% compared to January. Plinko
Plinko has been topping the charts since its release back in March 2022. Speaking of the total value of bets, in that very same month, Plinko outpaced and left behind every title, even Dino, except for Chicken. This trend continued throughout the year – The final quadrimester of 2022 showed a 62% increase in the amount of bets from the first four months after its release. All in all, Plinko witnessed a staggering 436% increase in bets just eight months (In November) after its release in 2022. The growth rates cooled off a bit in January 2023, and the year has been somewhat unpredictable with the usual ups and downs. As a result, by the end of 2023, it got a 24% decrease in the annual report. We also compared the outcome of May 2024 to January of the same year, and Plinko has a 55% increase in the total value of bets placed on it.
This mini game has been exceptionally popular among LatAm users. And a large part of its higher results came from the LatAm market. But in 2023, Dino was launched on the same market and the decrease in the volume of Plinko’s bets in this year might be explained by its competition with Dino. In spite of the fluctuations, Plinko still won’t lose its grip, it will continue to show exciting results and follow a growing trend in 2024.
Icefield
Icefield was launched in April 2022, just after the release of Plinko. From the start, it showed a stable growth rate. While there weren’t any groundbreaking spikes in growth, the quantity of bets has been consistently increasing, showing a slow, gradual, but steady upward trend. Icefield has seen an 8% and 6% increase in the first two quadrimesters after its release. In the first four-month period of 2023, it recorded its highest point – 124 million.
Well, we think that the Icefield became popular because of its simple gameplay, unique theme, and excellent graphics. It’s easy and it feels very intuitive, the quality which draws in modern gamers. Moreover, Icefield has a strategic element in it, meaning that the outcome is not directly linked to a random number generator. Players themselves make a decision about what move they should make and when to get out of the game. So, the popularity of this game might be linked to the sense of control it provides to players.
Teleport
And last, but not the least it’s the Teleport that we are going to talk about. The volume of bets on Teleport has been very much the same at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. The rate of the placed bets dropped by 33% in the second half of 2023, but it kicked back up by 49% in the last quadrimester of 2023. And again, in the first quadrimester of 2024, it showed a 35% increase and reached its highest point so far.
So, while Teleport had a bit of a slowdown, it quickly regained momentum, demonstrating its resilience and enduring appeal. Players seem to love the strategic challenge of navigating the quantum field, which keeps them coming back for more. The popularity of this crash game lies arguably in the simplicity of the game’s format and its interesting theme. It especially appeals to the ones who like different, original themes in the games and are not satisfied by something casual. And the teleport hits exactly the spots of something that you can call unusual, it’s great for players who have a slightly different taste about the themes of the games.

Based on the previous data, we tried to predict the results of each mini game until the end of 2024. Our forecasts are pretty optimistic. To be more specific, we expect a 24% rise in the annual amount of bets placed on Chicken by the end of 2024. Forecasts also reveal that Dino is set to experience a 57% growth compared to the previous year. The general growth trend is still very much alive in the case of Plinko too, and we are expecting a 44% yearly increase from it at the end of 2024.
Considering that crash games are one of the most significant iGaming trends of 2024, there might even be higher results at the end of the year.
All that being said, we mustn’t forget that there are two major upcoming exhibitions (SBC Lisbon 2024 and SiGMA Europe 2024) where Dino, Chicken, and each of our other mini games will be present.
